The Celtics beat the Wolves and I had mixed emotions. Those guys have gone through and continue to go through bad seasons. Al Jefferson's pro career has been nothing but misery. He hasn't won since high school. Neither has Sebastian Telfair, and Gerald Green. Who both came straight to the NBA. Ryan Gomes was on some decent Providence teams and Antoine Walker won a title in Miami. Randy Foye was on some very good Villanova teams. We never really saw Theo do much in a Celtics uniform but Craig Smith is a Boston College guy, so he gets a little love. So they have had good basketball experiences as a unit. But this. This is professional misery.

You have an ex-Celtic running a team (McHale) that traded their best player in franchise history to Boston. That is run by another ex-Celtic, Danny Ainge. That means all Celtic fans should feel obligated to root for the Wolves. And Why not? The Wolves have no chance in hell of making the playoffs. They are not a threat to the current Celtics and play so far away that most of the people of New England have never been to Minnesota and still have no reason to go there. I'm sure it is a lovely place. But it is, well..distant. So that it makes it easier to root for the ex-Celts. It's kind of like rooting for the Cubs if you are a Red Sox fan. You want their misery to end as long as it doesn't effect Boston. Well the Wolves are the Cubs of the NBA for Boston Celtic fans.

Here's hoping the Wolves get better fast and the former Celts get some fulfillment out of their careers

Just as long as it doesn't impact the Boston Celtics.
